Is there a pilot in me somewhere?
Pilot is three live performances woven together into a question that is already the beginning of its own answer: Can I fly my ship?
I grew up in West Virginia as the son of a woman from Venezuela and a Jewish father, loving the prayer of Saint Francis. Each of the songs on Pilot is a single live performance from the lobby of Saint Ann’s School, and each reflects a different part of the long learning journey from Morgantown to Brooklyn.
Call Me Córdoba’s original cover art is inspired by the calligraphy of Thich Nhat Hanh, one of his heroes in peace work.
